Paper Bag Bathroom Redo

This is how our guest bathroom looks now.
I originally put venetian plaster on the walls of this bathroom
and I did like it but it was very stark.
The plaster is still on all the walls except the wall you see when you enter.
This is done completely with brown paper grocery bags
torn into small pieces and attached to the wall with wallpaper paste.
You can seal it if you like, I did not because I prefer easy removal.
I also painted the ceiling gold. I love the warm glow it gives the bathroom.

A new towel rod and toilet paper holder.

Cabinet was painted.

Builders mirror replaced with one with a frame.

I have a project in mind for this space.
I will share on a later post.

This is the way the bathroom looked  before cosmetic surgery.

Yeah, this was before teal was cool.
I was ahead of my time.
LOL

I still kind of miss this look.
Until next time!!

5 Dollar Find

Okay, I am not the Queen of thrift any more. I lost my crown to G.
He found both these pieces for 5 dollars. I must say I am impressed.
He does know how much I love old boxes, old anything. The gun rack was purely
for him and bugged me until it was painted.

This is what I did with it. It was so oily that I had to sand it then prime it.
It is so nice to have real plants in the house again. It is pretty dark in our
house but these plants have done pretty well inside.

I have been playing with Picnik. I hate that they are shutting down they
are so easy to use. I hope I find a photo editor that is not very complicated.
Guess we will have to wait an see.

Well here's to hoping these plants last through the Spring and Summer.
G is the one with the green thumb.
Until next time!

Thrift Store Redo

Isn't she cute! I scored two of these babies. I sanded her down only to find an ugly yellow paint, so I primed and painted her grey. I don't know if I will paint something on them or not, waiting for inspiration.

I put a basket of flowers in for now and I think I am going to paint the wheel black. The rustic look of the wheel does not go with the fresh paint job. Until Next Time!
